New Mop Sink

Today our plumbing locator was out to locate/confirm location of the sewer so we can begin the process of installation of a new mop sink.

He located the sewer, approx 4'-3" deep at the "X" in the picture

The orange masking tape on the ground will be our saw cuts needed for the underground and the marks on the wall will be our venting and water lines. What is not seen in this photo is the marks on the wall for the 3" clean out for draining if needed that will be installed.

Marking New Evaporative cooler locations

We started measuring and marking the floor with masking tape for the locations of the evaporator coolers.

We also measured and marked for the direction and locations of the water line, drain lines and electrical conduit. We will use these marks so we can communicate with warehouse staff about what will need to be moved for our install.

Storage Unit Delivered

We had a storage unit delivered today around 10:30 am to store our copper, conduit, fittings, and tools during our installation.

The unit is 10' W x 25' L with doors on each end to allow for deliveries into one side and part retrieval out the other side.

After a few conversations and a couple of location, the warehouse staff and I agreed to store the unit on the ramp.

To help with the slope we added 12 pieces of 3/4" plywood (on each side of the downhill slope) and a 4" x 6"x 10' long beam. We also added 1 (on each side on the uphill slope), 3/4" piece of plywood to help prevent scratching or damaging the concrete.

Scissor Lifts delivered

We had 4 Scissor Lifts delivered today around 2:30 pm

The lift are 46" W x 92" L (without the extendable platform pulled out) the base of the platform reaches a height of 32'. When the approx 3' platform extended the lifts should have a working platform almost 10-1/2' to 11' long. This will allow for good distancing between technicians and a wide enough platform to be stable while working at a 35' ceiling height.

Planned next day: We are going to start moving framing bridges to allow for drops of new coolers to fit. We are slowing moving alone while we wait for our parts / materials to be ready and delivered
